Preston Hedges Trust is delighted to announce that the Trust has been successful in gaining approval to run two new schools in Milton Keynes, bringing the total number of schools in our Milton Keynes portfolio to three, and the overall number of schools in the Trust to seven. This of course means we will be able to deliver an education based on Fun, Creativity and Achievement to a growing number of children and families across Northampton and Milton Keynes.
Broughton Fields Primary School will be joining our Trust following formal confirmation from the Department for Education. As you all know we have been working closely with the school over the last few months in anticipation of this decision but this confirmation consolidates our partnership and we are looking forward to the opportunities it brings.
Additionally, I am thrilled to announce that we have been selected to run Whitehouse South, a new build primary school in Milton Keynes. This will be a significant new school in Milton Keynes ultimately providing education for up to 630 pupils and also including an in-house 39 place nursery.
This appointment followed a rigorous and competitive selection process, and we successfully demonstrated to both Milton Keynes Council and the Department for Education that we are the right Trust to deliver outstanding education for this new community. To have been chosen from among strong competition reflects the high regard in which our work is held.
